These boxes have a smaller volume of 3 litres which are more suitable for the species Austroplebeia australis also generally known as “Aa”
The internal volume is basically just an open space with no split bars. Although the box can be “split” or separated, this is more about just giving access to the colony. Aa wont build their colony structures like Tetragonula carbonaria (Tc) so they wont split like that.
