A new Australian Native Bee Association Branch is created at Illawara NSW. Christie has been working towards this for the last year gathering interest from the local community and organising this first workshop and meeting to create the local branch. The event was booked out with over 50 attendees, some travelling from further south and also from Sydney. Tim Heard did a presentation on native bees though the weather wasn’t the greatest with rain and cold temperatures so the tough decision was made to not do a hive split demo.
