Phone Box Hive


Updated: 23/01/2021. Four years after this was made I dragged it out of storage and finally finished it. Photos at bottom of page.

I removed the internal frames and installed observation windows.

Updated Specs:

  • Timber: Cypress
  • Weight: 18 kg
  • Internal Volume: 12 litres top section. 17 litres total

Update 23/01/2021

Internal frames removed and observation window installed. Separate honey super area at the base. Entry hole at the top. The bottom honey super area will be blocked off for a year or so until the bees have built up the colony.
